Sweetpeas Kindergarten & Long Day Care is a private, family run company with four early education centres so far in the Penrith region. All Sweetpeas services operate on Dharug Country. Sweetpeas Kindergarten acknowledges the Dharug people as the Traditional Custodians of the Country on which we teach and learn. We pay our respects to Dharug Elders past, present and emerging. We celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of all communities who also live, work and play on this Land. We are committed to a positive future for the Aboriginal community.

Our services cater for children between the ages of 2-6 years, before they start school (with the exception of our St Marys service which caters for a small number of children under the age of 2 years). The small size of our settings allows us to provide personalised care for our children and families.

Sweetpeas staff and educators are qualified, friendly and caring. Our curriculum is play-based and guided by the current interests, needs and development of the children in our care, with focus on their cognitive, language, creative, physical, social and emotional development. Our curriculum also reflects Belonging, Being & Becoming - The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia (EYLF), to ensure the most positive outcomes for our children, families and community.

Sweetpeas provides morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea for all our children. Breakfast and a late snack are also served if required. All meals are prepared on site by trained staff who are guided by nutritional guidelines and standards for children in partnership with the FeedAustralia initiative. Our four week, rotating menu was created with professional guidance, and is always on display for parents and families. Any intolerances, allergies, or family preferences are observed when preparing our meals.

For further information about Sweetpeas please feel free to use the Contact forms on this website, email us, or phone us on weekdays.

Sweetpeas also has an open-door policy and invites interested families and their children to visit us any day, preferably between the hours of 7.30AM-11.30AM or 2.00PM-5.30PM (between 11.30-2.00 our children are eating lunch and resting/sleeping, so to provide the quietest, most secure environment we attempt to reduce visitors at this time).
